Additional eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates who have appeared for Class 12 or its equivalent exam in 2024 are also eligible to apply for NEET 2024, subject to the condition that they fulfill the required eligibility criteria by the time of admission.
  • Candidates who have passed Class 12 or its equivalent exam from a foreign board must have their qualification recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  • Candidates who have passed the NIOS exam are also eligible to apply for NEET 2024.

Relaxation in eligibility criteria:

  • Reserved category candidates (SC, ST, and OBC-NCL) are eligible for a 10% relaxation in the minimum marks required to qualify for NEET 2024.
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks required to qualify for NEET 2024.

  • Candidates must attempt a total of 180 questions out of 200 questions.
  • There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.

Candidates will have 3 hours to complete the exam.

Marking Scheme

For each correct answer, candidates will get 4 marks. For each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
